Commando plate differs from a personal Mandalorian set in one important way: it was designed for people fighting shoulder to shoulder rather than alone. The chest and pauldron geometry is broader and more uniform than a foundling's mismatched beskar, which makes it an excellent choice for a squad build where several sets need to read as belonging together.
