FAQ

The questions I get asked most often. If yours isn't here, write to me — I answer everything myself.

Ordering and making

Is anything in stock?

No. Every piece is printed after you order it, in my workshop near Lyon. Nothing is pre-made.

How long does it take?

Count 4 to 6 weeks from the moment your measurements are confirmed. Details on the shipping and lead times page.

How do I send my measurements?

After your order I email you a short form — one for helmets, one for armour. The measuring guides show how to take each one. You can also leave them in the order notes at checkout.

What if I order the wrong size?

Ask before you order rather than after. Once printing has started a piece can't be resized, and made-to-measure orders can't be returned. Send me your measurements and I'll tell you what fits.

Can you make something that isn't in the catalogue?

Often, yes. Send a reference picture and the size you need and I'll quote it. See custom printing.

The pieces themselves

What condition do they arrive in?

Raw print, unpainted: layer lines visible, ready for you to sand, prime and paint. That's the default for every product unless stated otherwise.

Can you paint it for me?

Finishing is a separate service and depends on my workload. See sanding and painting services or ask me for a quote.

PLA, PETG or ABS — which should I pick?

Short version: PLA for display pieces and props, PETG or ABS for armour you'll actually wear, especially in the heat. The long version is on the material guide.

Will it survive a convention?

Pieces are printed with reinforced walls and are solid for normal wear. They are cosplay props, not protective equipment. Left in a closed car in summer, PLA will deform — that's the material, not the print.

Is a helmet wearable? Can I see out of it?

Yes, helmets are made to be worn and sized to your head measurements. Visors are supplied where the model calls for one.

Money, shipping, after-sales

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. Colissimo within Europe, Chronopost for the United States and the rest of the world, tracked either way.

Will I pay customs?

Outside the EU, yes — import duties and taxes are collected on arrival, by your carrier. Inside the EU, nothing extra to pay.

Can I return an order?

Made-to-measure pieces can't be returned once production has started. If something arrives damaged or isn't what was agreed, tell me and I'll sort it out.

Who am I dealing with, exactly?

One person. I run the workshop, print the orders, pack them and answer the emails. More on the about page.
