Ralph McQuarrie drew directly from Japanese kabuto and ō-yoroi when developing Darth Vader's look for A New Hope — the helmet dome, the brow ridge, and the swept geometry all reference a samurai heritage that George Lucas was channeling through Kurosawa into the Star Wars aesthetic. This armor honors that lineage directly: a Vader reimagined as a feudal lord of the dark side, armored in the tradition his original design was always quoting. Two warrior cultures that were never really separate.

This reimagining only works if the lamellar sits like armour rather than costume, so the Darth Vader Samurai Armor is printed from your own measurements. Choose PLA, PETG or ABS, add the matching helmet through Extras, and finish it in lacquered black with aged gold. Sith by way of the Sengoku period.
