The Rebellion flew into history wearing helmets that became icons. The X-wing flight helmet worn by Rebel Alliance pilots through the Battles of Yavin, Hoth, and Endor — perhaps the most recognizable piece of pilot gear in all of science fiction.
Rebel Pilot Helmet: The Shot That Started the Rebellion's Victory
Red Squadron. Gold Squadron. Rogue Squadron. The Rebel pilots who flew at Yavin were outgunned, understaffed, and operating with stolen plans that had been bought with the destruction of Alderaan. Luke Skywalker shut down his targeting computer and trusted the Force instead. Their helmets, orange-accented against the black of space, became one of the defining visual languages of the Rebellion.
