Shoulders like a doorframe, and that is entirely the point. The COG Armor reproduces the Coalition of Ordered Governments battle plate worn by Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad across the Gears of War saga.

Gears rewrote what game armour was allowed to look like: enormous trapezoidal pauldrons, a slab chest rig with the cog stamped dead centre, layered abdominal plates, heavy greaves, and a silhouette engineered to fill a screen from edge to edge. Translating that mass into something a human can walk around in for eight hours is the difficult part, and it is exactly what this kit is scaled for — chest, back, pauldrons, gauntlets and legs printed from your own measurements so the bulk rides on your frame instead of swallowing it. Choose your material, add the Carmine helmet through the Extras option, and go meet the Locust. Taking cover is optional. Looking enormous is not.
